Atlantis Hotel Bahamas

Well on our next day at the Atlantis Hotel Bahamas, we started by heading over to the Mayan Temple pool. Over there are a couple of water slides that are perfect for little kids. We stopped by here on the first day but for some reason the water in the pool seemed like saltwater to us. I think actually that the water from the ocean over at the Atlantis Beach left a coating of salt on us that made my son think the pool was saltwater too. So, we spent the first day in the Royal Baths Pool which was a little colder. I persuaded him to try the pool again and it was fresh water. Once we got him on the kid water slides, he was a fish in the water.

The Atlantis Hotel in Bahamas is perfect for kids because of all the water fun. After we swam for a bit, we decided to climb the Mayan Temple to go the Serpent Slide. On this water slide, you ride in an inner tube. What is great is that they have inner tubes that two people can share which is great for little kids because you can ride with them. While our first experience waiting in line for the Serpent Slide lasted about an hour because the slide closed for a bit and it was kind of confusing what we were actually waiting for. Anyway, it was fun and we got to go through the tunnels and see the sharks and people doing the Snuba activity.

We have been to other water parks before, but the Atlantis Hotel in the Bahamas is better because first of all it is outside and it's easier to breathe. (Not so much chlorine). There are also way more water slides in the Aquaventure area. Besides the Serpent, on the Mayan Temple there are also the Leap of Faith which is a straight drop down through the sharks and the Challenger which allows you to race another slider. I'll have to say that it was disappointing that over the course of our trip, they only had one lane open. We also had to wait a bit there which wasted our time. The waits on the lines at those slides increased as we got closer to the weekend. In addition to that the views also make it so much better than indoor waterparks.

Once we spent some time swimming, we then took a break and grabbed a bite to eat. There is a restaurant we ate at called Shark Bites. We discovered that we as adults could also order off of the kids menu. Besides the expense of the restaurants, the one complaint we had was about the quality of the softdrinks. Most of the time they were flat and we started ordering them in the cans and that helped a little. We didn't notice it as much with the sprite as we did the diet coke.

I never imagined that I'd have as much fun as I did at Atlantis Hotel Nassau Bahamas, but the fact that our son enjoyed himself so much made it worth it. After we had some food, we headed over to The Current. This is like the Lazy River except that it goes around the Power Tower and also at about four to six spots has rapids or waves that make it a lot of fun The inner tubes also allow two people to float on them too. I do recommend that if your child isn't a strong swimmer to put on a life jacket. They are available when you enter the river. One time we were thrown off into the water and I was glad that we had it on. Our little boy loved it though and it's more fun than the Lazy River. The Power Tower also empties into The Current so that you can float back to the stairs and get right back on.

At the top of the Power Tower you can get a great view of all of Atlantis Hotel Paradise Island Bahamas especially the Cove Beach which is beautiful, probably the prettiest beach on the island. I didn't really know about the beach until I saw it. If you are a beach person, it's the place to go in my opinion.

The best part of all of the fun activities is that the kids have so much fun and are so busy that they are worn out by the end of the day. I was surprised that the pools close at 7 pm which kind of put a damper on our plans to swim at night since it wasn't open. By the time we finished the day, we were so tired that we didn't feel like spending a whole lot of time eating or waiting to get a table. We picked up some pizza again at the Marina Pizzeria and brought it back to our room.

We spent the rest of the evening at Atlantis Hotel and Casino Bahamas relaxing in our room. We would have liked a little more channel selection because we just didn't have a lot of luck finding what we wanted on tv. There is a channel though you should watch that goes over all of the things you can do at your Atlantis Hotel Bahamas. We watched that as well to get some more info on the things we hadn't done. It also provides some more tips once you are there.
